I am a qualified tertiary educator with several years experience teaching at a university level. I have taught essay writing, English/communications, critical thinking, media literacy, and information literacy (research skills). As a private tutor I have also taught Italian language skills at a high school level.

I am passionate about evidence-based teaching and active learning: I know that my students learn by doing, and I structure my lessons accordingly. My teaching is based on the principles of constructivism, active learning, and constructive alignment.

I am available any day of the week, with flexible timing. I will tutor high school or university level students.

My tutoring practice is inclusive of students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, as well as LGBTQ+ students.

Rates

Online tutoring: $60 per hour; $50 half hour session.
Face-to-face, within 5km of my home: $60 per hour.
Face-to-face, further than 5km from my home: $70 first hour, $60 subsequent hours.
Suburbs within 5km of my home: Nollamara, Mirrabooka, Balga, Balcatta, Innaloo, Osborne Park, Yokine, Dianella.

Please note that these rates enable me to do prep work outside of a tutoring session, which is essential for me to provide high quality tutoring. Prep work includes: lesson planning, reading student work, providing written feedback.
