I am a specialist literacy teacher with university qualifications in education and psychology. I have over 25 years teaching experience with a particular focus on working with students with literacy difficulties, including those with diagnosed dyslexia.

I provide a COMPREHENSIVE LITERACY assessment prior to establishing an individual, structured, phonic based, multi-sensory program that addresses each student's specific needs and areas of weakness.

Programs run for 12 to 30 weeks and re-testing shows that most students make significant improvements in their literacy skills. Students and their parents meet with me once a week for an hour and are then expected to complete a structured, follow-up homework program to ensure the information taught is stored in long-term memory.

I am also able to offer specialist teaching over the internet and currently have students overseas and around Australia.

I have provided specialist one-on-one teaching in literacy for over 30 years. My goal is to
significantly improve students' literacy skills in a short time frame by providing them
with the underlying knowledge and skills required to be competent readers and spellers.

Please be aware that parents are expected to sit in on the lessons and that there is follow-up homework.
