If you’ve been thinking about learning Spanish… now is the perfect time!

¡HOLA AMIGOS!

My name is Lilian Cerôn-Fernández (Lily) and I have been teaching Spanish as a second language for over 20 years. I am a native Spanish speaker and also speak Portuguese. I recently completed a PhD in Hispanic Studies and currently work as a Science and Spanish teacher with the Department of Education and Training. I am a registered teacher in Victoria, New South Wales, and the Northern Territory.

I offer private and group Spanish lessons in the Mornington Peninsula , and other areas around Melbourne. I am also happy to travel to students’ homes if required (a small $10 travel fee per class applies to cover petrol).

My lessons are conducted in a relaxed, engaging, and supportive environment. Whether you are learning Spanish for school, university, travel, or personal interest, I tailor lessons to suit your goals.

My classes focus on:
• Pronunciation and speaking confidence
• Grammar and writing skills
• VCE Spanish preparation
• DELE exam preparation

I use a variety of textbooks and learning materials during lessons to help students progress quickly (no textbook purchases required). As part of my university teaching work, I also developed my own exercise book for beginner and intermediate students, which is included in my classes.

Students also receive FREE access to my online learning platform, which includes additional listening, speaking, and grammar exercises to practise in their own time.

I am a specialist Spanish tutor with 20 years of experience, passionate about helping students of all ages and levels achieve better results and gain confidence in speaking Spanish.

I also strongly believe that practising a language in a social environment is key to developing fluency and confidence. For this reason, I normally host a FREE Spanish conversation meetup on the last Saturday of every month at 5:00 pm in the Richmond area.
(Please note: bookings are currently paused due to maternity leave.)
