As Head of English at Absolute Academy, and a former VCAA member of examination staff, I've marked exam scripts from the other side of the desk. I know exactly what assessors are looking for — because I was one.
My own VCE English study score of RAW 45 placed me in the top 2% of the state. Since then, I've combined that assessor's eye with almost a decade of tutoring experience to know precisely what separates a good response from an exceptional one.
