Hello passionate Biology students, It would be my pleasure to provide tutoring support in 2026 for keen students undertaking Unit 1 and 2 or Unit 3 and 4 or UniMelb Bio courses "Life's Machinery" and "Life's Complexity". I have been a passionate VCE Biology teacher for 34 years. I have taught at four highly ranked independent schools over my career with leadership roles including Head of Science and VCE Biology. I am semi-retired, however, still retain my specialist teacher role at a prestigious and top ATAR-ranked school. I have a deep understanding of the 2022-2026 Study Design (VCE Biology 1-4 classes) as well as first-year UniMelb subjects: BIOL10008 Introductory Biology: Life's Machinery and BIOL10010 Life's Complexity.

I am an experienced and engaging online tutor, presenting great interactive lesson notes, visuals, trial SAC's/tests, and review focus questions. My tutoring availability times in Semester 2 (term 3) 2026 is NOW FULLY BOOKED, however, do try to reach out if you want term 3 holiday tutorials one-on-one for some intense revision or help with exam prep.
I accept the following types of tutoring 1) weekly one-on-one online tutoring 1 or 2 hours 2) Group online tutoring (2hrs) Sun 2 -4 pm every second week - (up to 3 students from the same school)
Tutoring is truly rewarding. It is a great opportunity to 'unpack' key knowledge and develop a meaningful understanding.
My approach to tutoring is to make it interesting, get the student to comprehend, analyze, and evaluate key knowledge, allow the student to ask questions, AND encourage students to rehearse processes, outlines, and definitions.

I come resourced with my own tailored review focus questions for each Area of Study, daily practice challenge problems, AND my own lesson notes. Wait there is more....I have notes with exemplar examples of outlines like CRISPR, Trp Operon regulation, AND vocabulary definitions of all the 'buzz' terms

Hello VCE Biology students,
I have been a passionate VCE Biology teacher for 34 years, tutoring hundreds of students prior to using tutor finder as a platform. I am a specialist teacher who has more time available to expand my tutoring services, recently deciding to teach only VCE Biology 1-4 classes.

I have taught in four prestigious independent schools over the course of my teaching and my own students have thought of me as incredibly knowledgeable, and reliable, who sets very high standards, knows the VCAA Biology Study Design back to front (2022 -2026), and makes the subject matter 'come alive'
I have been tutoring many online students either individually OR in groups of 2 or 3 from the same school, proven to be very economical for the student. 1 student = $150 2 students from the same school = $120 each, 3 students from the same school - $100 each

Attended annual VCE Biology STAV Conferences and Professional Development events at GTAC (Gene Technology Access Centre)

Rates

$100 is based on group tutoring of 3 students from the same school. Normally, students will create their own small school group and then book me as their tutor. Group tutoring is very economical and has worked really well academically with students 'bouncing' off each other's understanding.
One-on-one tuition is perfect for catering to individualized SAC preparation, home learning and asking for help with specific Checkpoint Q's
3 students from the same school - $100 per student/session 1 hour
2 students from the same school- $120 per student/session 1 hour
1 student - $150
