Come Here for a Band 6 in Math & D&T
Sydney tutor in Algebra, Calculus, Design n Technology, Further Maths, General Maths, Geometry, Maths, Maths Methods, Statistics
I am a Sydney-based tutor currently studying engineering at university. I tutor Mathematics and Design & Technology, with a focus on helping students build confidence, improve their understanding, and develop effective study habits.
In high school, I achieved an ATAR of 96.35, including Band 6 results in Mathematics Extension 1, Mathematics Extension 2, and Design & Technology. I understand how challenging these subjects can feel, especially when students are unsure how to study effectively. Earlier in high school, I found maths difficult myself, even ranking last in my grade in Year 7, but through changing my approach and learning how to study properly, I was able to rank 1st in the cohort by Year 8 and go on to complete accelerated Year 12 Math Advanced in Year 11 and Extension 2 Mathematics in Year 12.
This experience allows me to explain concepts clearly and practically, especially to students who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin. My goal is not just to help students get through homework, but to help them understand the content properly and develop the skills needed to improve independently.
For Design & Technology, I can assist students with portfolio development, CAD work (Fusion 360), project planning, research, evaluation, and Major Work documentation. I have extensive experience using programs such as Fusion 360 and can help students structure their ideas clearly and professionally. I enjoy CAD and regularly design as a hobby, which translates into extensive help for students trying to learn the skill.
I offer online tutoring via Zoom or students can come to me, and am available most afternoons and Weekends.

Experience
In Year 12, I tutored classmates who were struggling with Mathematics and Design & Technology, particularly with CAD skills, portfolio structure, and project documentation. I also have experience tutoring Mathematics to younger students in Years 7–10 through family connections.
My tutoring approach is shaped by my own experience of improving in Mathematics through trial, error, and learning how to study effectively. Because of this, I understand what it feels like to struggle with the subject, and I am able to explain concepts in a way that is clear, practical, and relatable.
This allows me to tailor my lessons to each student’s individual needs. Rather than assuming concepts are obvious, I focus on breaking down difficult ideas step by step, identifying where misunderstandings occur, and helping students build confidence in their problem-solving.
This gives me a different perspective from tutors who have always found Mathematics naturally easy. Since I had to work and struggle through the subject myself, I can better understand the mindset of students who feel stuck or frustrated. My goal is to help students see Mathematics from a clearer perspective, build motivation, and develop the skills needed to improve their results.
