As a high school senior maths teacher, I have specific insight into common challenges that students face both in content and assessments. My teaching is focussed on "teaching for understanding" as opposed to introducing rules or formulas that need to be memorised. I have access to multiple textbook suites and use your student's textbook to reteach exactly the same examples that were shown in class. This builds on existing understanding and increased exposure to the same example with varying explanations. I can provide homework or my own resources for extra work. Sessions can be structured as mini "one on one" classroom lessons, or can be treated more as traditional drop-in tutoring, depending on what is needed.

My sessions are student-focussed, with an empathic approach where we work towards collaborative goals developed with student and parents. I pride myself on supporting students' confidence and building positive relationships with the subject matter. My focus is on helping build fluency in procedural skills, alongside confidence to tackle the harder problem solving "complex unfamiliar" questions. I also provide support in between sessions for extra explanations or solutions throughout the week.

• Tutoring services are offered in person at my home (Pacific Pines) with some online spots offered. My office has a couch and parents are welcomed to sit in!
• Some weekend availability.
• 2026 Rates - General tutoring rate begins at $95p/h; Specialist/Methods/IB/Senior and IA1 assignment tutoring rate begins at $120p/h.
