? About Me Hey there - I’m Max! I graduated from The King’s School in 2021 as Dux, achieving a perfect 99.95 ATAR, and I am currently studying Doctor of Medicine at the University of Sydney, having completed a Bachelor of Science (Psychological Science & Politics) as a Dalyell Scholar and USYD Chancellor’s Award recipient.

From Years 7 - 12, I consistently ranked 1st across practically all core subjects, maintaining a perfect GPA of 10.0 every year, and I now bring that same discipline, structure, and attention to detail into my tutoring.

My overall marks in the HSC were:
- 100 in Math Advanced (6th in NSW, State Rank)
- 98 in English Advanced (14th in NSW, State Rank)
- 49/50 in Math Extension 1 & English Extension 1 - 96+ in Economics, Chemistry, and Modern History (20th in NSW, State Rank)

Other notable academic achievements include: - 1st Internally for English Advanced & Extension 1, Modern History, Economics & Chemistry amongst a cohort of ~230, 2-3rd in Math Advanced & Extension 1
- 3400 (99th, top percentile) in UCAT
- TKS Foreign Affairs Essay Prize
- Dean's List of Excellence (2024)
- 1st in Personality and Social Psychology (2023)
- 1st in Understanding the USA (2024)

? Tutoring Experience From 2022 - 2025, I have tutored 75+ individual students privately and am also employed by The King’s School as a Casual Tutor, supporting HSC students across:
- English Advanced & Extension 1
- Mathematics Advanced & Extension 1
- Modern History
- Economics
I also provide subject seminars, workshops, and departmental support sessions at The King's School, particularly for senior students.

? Student Results & Improvements
My students consistently achieve significant and measurable improvements, especially in English Advanced, Modern History, and Economics where structure, argument, and expression matter most.

Some outcomes include:
- Multiple 1st in cohort rankings at elite private schools and selective schools
- Students moving from mid-range bands → Band 6 in the HSC
- Multiple students achieving 99+ ATARs (including 2 x 99.95's and 4 x 99.9's
- Successful medicine offers at USYD, UNSW, UQ and WSU
- Dramatic improvement in essay clarity, sophistication, and exam confidence
- In English particularly, many students improve 3-5+ marks across trials and externals through refined thesis development, sharper analysis, and examiner-focused writing (as well as just being more prepared!)

?? Lesson Style & What You Can Expect
Lessons are flexible, targeted, and often student-driven. Sessions may focus on:
- Assessment strategy & marking criteria
- In-depth essay drafting and redrafting
- Content revision
- Mock exam practice & feedback

Specifically, English students can expect:
- Every essay or creative piece to be fully polished, adaptable, and HSC-ready
- Multiple drafts with detailed feedback and line-by-line edits
- Access to my own essays and notes (for regular students)

Tutoring is primarily done through Zoom, or at my home in St Ives (if you live close!). I can tutor any range of subjects, or focus on specific subjects in our lessons. Senior students often focus on 1 - 3 subjects year-long, whilst junior students may prefer flexible support across all subjects including English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, or Commerce. I am also available outside lesson hours for quick questions, any guidance, and draft checks etc.

? Final Note
I’m friendly, reliable, and deeply invested in my students’ success. I understand busy schedules and am always reasonable with rescheduling around illness or major commitments.
