Hi, my name is Michelle. I am currently a Doctor of Medicine student at the University of Queensland, having graduated with First Class Honours in a Bachelor of Science (Physiology) from the University of Melbourne. I completed my secondary education at Somerville House with an ATAR of 99.5, placing me in the top 0.5% of graduating students. Throughout high school, I was awarded multiple academic prizes and was named Dux of my cohort in 2019, 2020, and 2021. I graduated Year 12 as top of subject in Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, and Chinese, and maintained a GPA consistently within the top 10% of my cohort.

I have been recognised by the Queensland Department of Education as an Outstanding STEM Student, receiving the Peter Doherty Award for Excellence in STEM in 2022, and achieved national recognition in mathematics as a National Finalist in the International Mathematical Modelling Challenge in 2021. In English, I possess strong analytical and editorial skills, with extensive experience supporting students in textual analysis and preparation for unseen essays, particularly for external assessments. I have assisted students studying texts including Macbeth, Hamlet, Burial Rites, Jane Eyre, Never Let Me Go, Pride and Prejudice, Nineteen Eighty-Four, The Crucible, The Great Gatsby, The Martian, 1917, Blade Runner, and Stranger Things, and am well-placed to guide students in maximising their English assessment outcomes.

ARE YOU HEADING INTO EXTERNALS FOR 2026? WORRIED ABOUT PSMT's OR IA's? I run tailored one-to-one teaching sessions to get you prepared for all the content in the year ahead for English, Maths Methods, Specialist Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I prepare resources for you prior to lessons which I provide to you included in the price of tutorials, which will include my step by step teaching approach through the syllabus and my exam approaches which have helped myself and my previous students succeed in their ATAR. I will point out to you commonly examined portions of the syllabus and focus more time on complex parts of the syllabus to make best use of our tutorial time.

I am incredibly familiar with the course content and can provide tricks and tips into acing or improving your performance. I understand the importance of performing at your best at school. I can share my extra textbooks, worksheets, large bank of more difficult problems that I used during my own high school studies as well as acquired over years of tutoring experience to help you achieve at your very best.

I specialise in tutoring all levels of English (Y2-12), Maths (particularly Senior Maths Methods), Biology as well as Chemistry. As a high-achieving student across all subjects and a recent graduate of the new QCAA syllabus, I am confident that I have mastered all aspects of these courses. Additionally, as a UQ Science Ambassador who hosted morning science tutorials, I have accumulated a significant amount of experience in tutoring sciences to younger students. I also have a Blue Card (Working with Children Check).

In the past I have never had a student that I have not seen improvement in while they were being tutored by me, and most had significant improvements in their results. Lessons can be structured according to your goals, I can prepare notes for you in advance, or can simply work through questions you are having trouble with.

Tutoring is conducted online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams, or at Mt Ommaney Library. My rates for one on one tuition are listed below, please note these charges take into account my extensive preparation time to produce resources for you prior to tutorials.

Please contact me at 0411142118 if you are interested. I am very confident that you will see significant improvement in your results under my guidance.

I look forward to helping you in your studies!
