I have vacancies now for students studying Maths, Years 9-12, including IB Maths. I have been doing this for more than 15 years now but that doesn't mean I have learned the secret of successful tutoring - because there is no secret. What works for Max may not work for Ben, and what works for Sonia may not work for Maya. There is, however, one thing that always makes a difference: enjoyment. You always work well at something you enjoy doing. And enjoyment, like satisfaction, comes from knowing you've 'got this.'
I live on Stanley Street, North Ward, within walking distance of Townsville Grammar where my grandson is a year 12 student. For that reason most of my students in recent years have been Grammar students. But I have worked with young people from many other schools. I am currently taking on highly motivated students who would benefit from private tuition but cannot afford the cost. In other words, for a limited time I am offering pro bono tuition for deserving students doing Maths Methods, Years 10-12. For obvious reasons I can only take on a few.
