As a tutor I specialise in working with high school students. My most recent Year 12 tutoring clients have achieved Bands 5 and 6 in HSC English (Advanced and Standard). I also tutor younger students from Years 6 to Year 10. All students are catered for across a broad range of subject areas within English, Creative and Performing Arts, and HSIE.

Although I work REMOTELY VIA ZOOM with your student, we will work closely together using Google Drive and many other online platforms so that I can develop a unique and personalised strategy. One to one online tutoring via Zoom has a completely different character to that of Zoom teaching experienced during the pandemic, where up to 30 students participated in online learning during one lesson. With me, your student has exclusive access to individualised resources and expertise.

My focus is working with students individually to help them improve their skills and abilities in the specific subject area, thus assisting them to achieve their best. I like to develop relationships with my students so that they feel relaxed and at ease. I use a wide range of strategies to help improve literacy in individual subject areas, so as to be able to achieve the relevant syllabus outcomes. I place a strong emphasis on the independent nature of work and encourage students to take responsibility for their efforts.

I have decades of experience in the classroom and individual tutoring which means that I have strong pedagogical knowledge and skills that other tutors may not be able to provide. This means that your student will benefit from a broad range of current teaching and learning practices that support recent curriculum changes in NSW.

I pride myself on developing and utilising a wide range of resources not available to anyone else, and often tailor resources specifically to students' individual requirements because I believe that your child is unique, so catering to your child's unique needs is key to what I do.
