I have 35 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I hold several degrees obtained from different universities including a master's degree at the University of Western Australia.

My teaching areas include English and Literature. This includes all secondary courses including the current ATAR courses. I am actively involved in developing new teaching and learning programs that adhere to Australian Curriculum requirements for Year 7 to Year 12 English and Year 11 - Year 12 Literature.

I am still teaching currently and this enables me to adjust my teaching according to the changes taking place in education statewide and nationally.

My students express their gratitude for the assistance and teaching they receive. All my students have had a remarkable improvement in their results and I have parents who have enrolled their children year after year as they can see how the consistent tutoring is benefiting the child. I have several families who have enrolled two or three of their children for weekly tutoring. Students explain that concepts and skills were conquered for the first time through my explanations and assistance. My Year 12 ATAR students count amongst the top achievers in their cohorts. I also have a significant amount of experience in marking and writing state and national tests.

I enjoy the process of helping students to become confident and my teaching is structured to make this a logical and exciting discovery.

I have also taught English Second Language students.
