**NOW BOOKING: Assistance for the March 2027 GAMSAT season, and interview prep for November 2026 offers.**

Hi, I'm Paolo, a Doctor of Medicine student at the University of Newcastle. Over the past four years, I've tutored 16+ students through GAMSAT and medical interview prep, and I now tutor independently across all three GAMSAT sections as well as medical school interviews.

I've also scored in the 95th percentile of GAMSAT Section 2, received interview offers from both the University of Newcastle and the University of Queensland, and am now in my 4th year of medicine on clinical rotations.

? What I offer
? GAMSAT Tutoring (Sections 1, 2 and 3)

? Section 1: Reasoning frameworks for humanities passages, common question traps, and time strategy under pressure
?? Section 2: Essay planning, argument structure, and how to write the kind of response that actually scores. I scored in the 95th percentile here, so this is where I have the most to teach
? Section 3: Chemistry, physics and biology reasoning explained clearly, even if your science background is limited

?? Medical School Interview Tutoring

? MMI stations, structured interviews, and panel formats
? Practice scenarios with real-time feedback on content, delivery, and the communication skills schools actually assess

? Why work with me
I'm not a tutor who sat the GAMSAT years ago and moved on. I'm currently on clinical rotations, working with patients and engaging with the same curriculum that medical schools are screening candidates for. I understand what they're looking for because I'm living it right now.

Three things shape how I teach:

Bachelor of Science (Immunobiology), University of Sydney, so Section 3 sciences are familiar territory I can teach from first principles

Master of Communication, Griffith University, directly relevant to Section 2 essays and interview performance, where how you communicate matters as much as what you say

Four years tutoring 16+ GAMSAT and interview students, so I've seen the patterns in what separates candidates who get offers from those who don't

Experience

I have over four years of experience tutoring students for the GAMSAT and medical school interviews, both through a private tutoring company and independently. Over this time, I have helped 16+ of students prepare for the GAMSAT and medical admissions process, with support across Sections 1, 2 and 3, as well as MMI, structured interview and panel interview preparation.

My approach is highly personalised. I do not teach students a rigid formula or one-size-fits-all strategy. Instead, I help each student build a study and exam approach around their own strengths, weaknesses, learning style, reasoning habits and target score.

Whether a student is struggling with Section 2 essay writing, facing Section 3 science reasoning with a limited science background, or retaking the exam and unsure what to change, I focus on building the diagnostic awareness and tactical flexibility needed to handle unfamiliar GAMSAT questions under pressure.

Qualifications

? Medical background

I am a 4th-year Doctor of Medicine student at the University of Newcastle, currently undertaking clinical rotations. I have personally sat the GAMSAT multiple times and received medical school interview offers from both the University of Newcastle and the University of Queensland, giving me direct experience with the exam and medical admissions process.

? Academic qualifications

I hold a:

? Bachelor of Science, majoring in Immunobiology, from the University of Sydney
?? Master of Communication from Griffith University
? Current enrolment in the Doctor of Medicine at the University of Newcastle

This combination allows me to support students across both the science-heavy and communication-heavy parts of GAMSAT and medical school admissions, from Section 3 reasoning through to Section 2 essay writing and interview performance.

? Medical education experience

I have been actively involved in medical education throughout my degree, including:

?‍? Volunteer tutoring through the Medical Education Society
? Serving as IT Officer for the University of Newcastle Medical Society
? Attending the RCPA Medical Students Summer School as one of only 60 students selected nationally
? Communication & teaching strengths

Before medicine, I worked in digital marketing and healthcare administration, which strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly, structure information effectively and adapt my teaching style to different learners.

My background across science, medicine, communication, tutoring and healthcare allows me to help students not only understand the content, but also learn how to think strategically, communicate clearly and perform under exam conditions.
