Hi! I'm Pin Chen, a Diploma of Science student at Griffith University in Brisbane. I offer tutoring for primary and lower secondary students.
I can help students with Mandarin and English learning, including reading, basic writing, pronunciation and everyday communication. I also support students with school homework and help them build confidence in their learning.
In addition to language tutoring, I also provide support in subjects such as Mathematics, Biology and basic Chemistry. I enjoy explaining concepts in a clear and simple way so students can better understand their schoolwork.
I am patient, friendly and supportive, and I aim to create a relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning step by step.
I can tutor in both English and Mandarin, which can be especially helpful for students from Chinese-speaking families.

Experience

I have tutoring experience teaching both English and Mandarin to students. I have helped one student improve their English by assisting with school homework, reading comprehension and basic grammar. I also taught Mandarin to another student, focusing on everyday conversation, pronunciation and basic reading.
I enjoy explaining concepts in a clear and simple way, especially for younger learners who may need extra encouragement. I am patient, friendly and supportive, and I always try to create a comfortable learning environment so students feel confident asking questions and learning at their own pace.
In addition to language tutoring, I am also happy to help students with other subjects such as Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry, especially for homework support and basic concept understanding.

Qualifications

I am currently studying a Diploma in Science at Griffith University in Brisbane, QLD.

I completed high school in Taiwan and have a strong foundation in science subjects such as biology, chemistry, and maths.

I am bilingual in English and Mandarin, which is helpful when tutoring students from Chinese-speaking backgrounds. I am also confident teaching students from Years 1–8 in maths and general science.
