Hi there!

My name is Rahul Choudhary. I am a researcher and teacher at the UWA Department of Physics. I graduated from UWA Physics with a PhD in Science Education in 2021. I relate very well to young students. Having worked on modernising the Australian curriculum, and in particular WA curriculum, for more than 5 years, I am quite familiar with the current education system. I specialise in WACE teaching and coaching.

I am highly motivated to help students succeed, I love teaching and helping others perform their best! I am excited at the opportunity to use my passion for science and mathematics to help others succeed in life! Whether you are a college student studying for your next engineering dynamics exam, or a high school student struggling through basic physics/mathematics, I am equipped and happy to help!

Experience

Over the past 5 years in WA, I have worked with more than 500 middle and high school students.

My aim is to help students learn in the most effective way and I look to provide personalised tutoring for them. I will tailor sessions to address specific issues and questions my students have or to assist more generally in learning content that lies ahead. I can help with homework, study, and preparation for exams.

Specifically, I believe that a focus on the fundamentals is the most important step to success with any given subject. As part of my own experience as a student, I found that in-depth knowledge of a subject is the best way to be ready to deal with whatever problems may arise in exams. To prepare my students with the knowledge to succeed, I encourage critical thinking through detailed discussion and questioning to challenge my students’ ability to their limits. I can tutor in a one-on-one format or in a group setting.

Qualifications

I have a PhD in Science Education. I work as a Research Associate and casual teacher at the UWA Department of Physics.
