I love teaching and enjoy watching students make progress in their learning and reach their personal and academic goals.

I have been teaching general and academic English in a university setting for 16 years and am offering private English lessons in at my home English. I also assist with IELTS preparation.

In general English, I can assist with skills development in reading, writing, speaking and listening, as desired by you and your needs.
For those pursuing higher education, I can also assist in strengthening your skills in essay writing, reports, seminar presentations, resumes, etc.

Reasonable Rate: $30 per one-hour block or $50 per two-hour block. Special first lesson 2-hour block rate of $45.

Available: I am currently available during the days or evenings, as well as Saturdays at my place in Elizabeth Park or another mutually-convenient location (e.g. library).

I have worked in the area of education for over 20 years, but have focused on ESL teaching and IELTS preparation for the past 15 years. I am currently teaching academic English at uni.

Qualifications

Graduate Diploma in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching for Adults) through Cambridge University, UK
