I'm Riley, a 27 year old medical doctor with a background in chemistry and biological sciences. I completed Year 12 in 2015 at Canberra college with a 99.70 ATAR. I have teaching experience across several experimental and theory-based courses, including the ANU Chemistry Bridging Course for students with no secondary study of chemistry. I am mainly focused on chemistry (from year 10 to university level), anatomy, physiology and general biology (genetics, cell biology), though there is scope discuss other aspects of science subjects.
I completed GAMSAT in 2019 (overall score of 78, 95 in Section 3) for anyone needing practice or coaching for the medical school entry process.
I was awarded the University Medal for Academic Excellence in 2023 for achieving the highest marks in the ANU Doctor of Medicine and Surgery degree.
My suggestion for tutoring would be 1h online Zoom sessions weekly at a suitably arranged time, I am available on weekends or after school. Sessions could include discussing specific problems the student is having, working through questions, or explanations of concepts covered in order to better learn the topics. I am flexible and can adapt to your needs to ensure you have the most positive learning experience possible.
I enjoy tutoring to empower keen students with knowledge. It is especially rewarding to work together with an engaged student and watch them grow. Please contact me by text message or through TutorFinder if you would like to arrange tutoring.
