I have a Masters Degree in Learning Support with over 30yrs experience teaching children with multiple special needs face to face and online. I am extremely experienced in teaching grades 1 - 10 in English and Math. I have developed a Math program tailored to students with dyscalculia (alongside head of Math at University of Queensland). I am also an expert in teaching English (for children with dyslexia, dysgraphia and other learning difficulties) and have designed a program specifically for children with dyslexia. I have a Ba (hons) Graphic Design and therefore take a visual approach to my lessons.
I write homeschool programs tailored to the needs of the individual student, whose work is closely
monitored through weekly consultation with parents and the student. Comprehensive records are kept for distance Ed.
Tutoring programs are based upon an initial assessment identifying areas of strength and weakness. This forms a working document which informs the program. My students have returned to school ahead of their peers.
Detailed progress notes are provided each week to all concerned adults. Parents are invited to sit in on lessons so that they can understand the teaching approach. School visits can be provided (on request). Lessons are provided in my office or online for remote / overseas students. My programs have resulted in several students being raised several grade levels (recommendations available from SPELD and past/present clients).

I have 45 years experience working in the education system (in Australia, Papua New Guinea and England). I have developed Research based learning programs with resources that explicitly teach Mathematics to children with learning difficulties. I have also developed language programs that are tailored to individual requirements. I offer individual, group and homeschool tutoring and provide comprehensive programs for students with learning difficulties. I have successfully tutored students with special needs remotely, using Zoom. For new students, I recommend an assessment to ascertain their particular needs and therefore tailor the program appropriately. I work closely with parents and teachers
