I am a highly skilled English and History teacher with over 10 years of full-time classroom experience. I am currently teaching VCE in a Melbourne Government Secondary College and have an in-depth understanding of the Victorian Curriculum, VCE Study Designs, and assessment standards. I employ evidence-based, best-practice teaching strategies to support students in their learning and tailor all lessons to meet individual needs. In addition, I am an external examiner for the VCAA in History: Revolutions, which allows me to provide invaluable insight, guidance, and resources for SAC and exam success.

Small-group classes include up to three students, based on demand, and are grouped according to student level and/or English texts being studied.

Students who wish to remain in a dedicated one-on-one format may do so for an additional fee.

One-to-One Tuition Disclaimer

Students may choose to remain in single-student, one-to-one sessions, regardless of group availability.
However, due to the increased level of personalised planning and individualised instruction, one-to-one lessons incur an additional fee.

Availability & Locations

I am available for classes:

Monday–Friday: 5:00pm – 7:30pm

Saturday: 11:00am – 1:00pm

Sessions are conducted either at my residence in Melbourne’s South-East or online. Each session runs for one hour and can be extended upon request at no additional cost.

Face-to-Face Learning

Each face-to-face lesson is student-centred and designed to enrich understanding of key knowledge and skills at the student’s point of need. I work closely with the school-based curriculum while also extending and accelerating students beyond their current standard where appropriate.

Online Tutoring

I provide high-quality remote tutoring via video conferencing using Department-approved platforms such as Google Meet and Google Workspace applications. Students receive a meeting link via email and can simply log in at the scheduled time.

Through the use of interactive digital tools, I can assess, monitor, and provide real-time feedback to support improvements in written work.

Experience

I have over 17 years tutoring and 13 years full time classroom teaching experience across both primary and secondary year levels.

Qualifications

I am a qualified Secondary teacher with over 10 years teaching experience. I am currently teaching both VCE English and History Revolutions in a Victorian Government Secondary College. In addition, I am also a VCAA examiner for History Revolutions.
