Online tutoring with current high school teachers.

Soshy offers small-group and private online tutoring in Business, Economics and Commerce. Every lesson is taught by a qualified, experienced teacher who is currently teaching in an Australian high school, not a recent graduate.

Small-group online classes:
A maximum of 8 students per class, so every student is known and supported
9-week terms with one 2-hour live online lesson each week
$1, 100 per term (about $60 per hour), paid upfront or in two instalments

Each term includes:
A starting diagnostic and writing sample (for new students), so lessons target real gaps
Topic tests and practice questions with feedback
Marked extended responses
Term resource pack
Progress reports for parents

Private 1:1 online lessons:
One-on-one lessons for targeted help with a tricky topic, assessment preparation, writing skills or feedback on drafts. They can be taken on their own or alongside a Soshy class.
60 minutes: $160
90 minutes: $240
120 minutes: $320

Getting started
Every new class enrolment starts with a free trial lesson. A $50 deposit secures your child’s place and comes off the term fee. If your child doesn’t continue after the trial, the deposit is refunded in full.

Every student starts with a diagnostic and writing sample, so lessons target real gaps rather than repeating what they already know at school. Qualifications

All Soshy teachers are qualified, experienced teachers who are currently teaching in Australian high schools. That means your child learns from someone who works with the syllabus, assessment tasks and marking criteria every day, not a recent graduate or a student tutor.

Our teachers specialise in HSC Economics, HSC Business Studies, IB Business Management, IB Economics and Commerce. They teach using proven, evidence-based practices: explicit teaching, modelling, scaffolding and exemplars.

Every Soshy teacher holds a current NSW Working with Children Check.

To keep things fair and transparent, we don’t tutor students our teachers currently teach or assess at school.
