I'm Stephanie Hume and I have over 15 years' of experience in disability, education and communications. I assist students in English, English Literature, and Humanities, with a focus on and real passion for diverse learners.

Custom Learning Approach

I believe that every student is unique and has different learning needs. My teaching approach is tailored to each student's learning style, pace, and interests. I have worked in a secondary setting for 8 years supporting students with special needs and in the mainstream, while running my tutoring business for a range of students. I believe in inclusive education, and am a disability advocate.

1:1 & Group Support

I run sessions in Melbourne face-to-face, as well as online everywhere else. My sessions are guided by the school curriculum, and can also focus on skills that the student wants to work on. Throughout the year I run online workshops with groups to focus on an area of interest such as essay writing, comprehension and reading strategies, among others.

I have a broad experience with English in both academic and business settings. Prior to moving into education I worked as a marketing communications professional in various industries. Now I help students build on their confidence in learning in a secondary setting, while also providing additional assistance to a range of private clients.
