HELLENIC EDUCATION offers Modern Greek Tuition at all levels.
Lessons are structured and prepared according to the needs of each individual student. Every student follows a program according to what they want to achieve.
Additional worksheets and material is supplied for the lessons to complement the books used during the lessons. Teaching of the Greek Language from children to adults including HSC and Certificate of Attainment in Modern Greek.

Experience

I used to teach Modern Greek at an afternoon Greek School for 4 years.
Now, I only tutor online on Zoom, Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm to 9:00pm.
I am extremely passionate about teaching the Greek Language.
I travel to Greece twice a year and have dual citizenship and thus am always searching for new texts and new platforms that become available for teaching Greek.
I prepare lessons for my students, give tests and follow the syllabus. I mainly
concentrate on phonetics for the commencement of reading as I am extremely pedantic about pronunciation.
Additionally, I do a lot of activities with translation and speaking.
I teach Greek either as a second language or a foreign language.
That all depends on the circumstances.
I have taught crash courses concentrating on Speaking skills for those travelling to Greece.
Furthermore, I have even prepared speeches for Weddings and Eulogies and helped the speaker on delivering the speech accurately.
I also tutor students for HSC Greek. My students always get good results in their HSC. One of my students attained a score of 96% in her HSC in 2021.
I also prepare students to sit for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Greek. Most of my students get ARISTA for this Exam.

Rates

MODERN GREEK PRIVATE TUITION ON ZOOM:

KINDERGARTEN TO YEAR 10: (ALL PRICES ARE GST INCLUSIVE)
1 private student: $70 per hour
1 private student: $57.50 per 45 minutes
1 private student: $37.50 per half an hour (only for large families)

ADULTS:
1 private student: $75 per hour
1 private student: $62.50 per 45 minutes

YEAR 11 AND 12 HSC:
1 private student: $80 per hour

PRIVATE STUDENTS THAT DO 2 HOURS PER WEEK RECEIVE A 5% DISCOUNT.
FAMILIES WITH 3 OR MORE CHILDREN WHO DO OVER 2 HOURS OF LESSONS PER WEEK ALSO RECEIVE A 5% DISCOUNT.

MODERN GREEK SEMI-PRIVATE TUITION ON ZOOM:

KINDERGARTEN TO YEAR 10 SIBLINGS AND GROUP CLASSES:
Group of 2 semi-private students: $85 per hour ($42.50 per student per hour)
Group of 3 semi-private students: $99 per hour ($33.00 per student per hour)

ADULT GROUP CLASSES:
Group of 2 semi-private students: $90 per hour ($45.00 per student per hour)
Group of 3 semi-private students: $105 per hour ($35.00 per student per hour)

MODERN GREEK GROUP TUITION FOR ADULTS ONLY ON ZOOM:
Beginner 1, Beginner 2, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2, Advanced 1, Advanced 2.
Each stage is of 10 week duration and 1.5 or 2 hours per week.
Price depends on the amount of students. If interested, enquire about the price.

Please note that all students in Group Tuition must be at the same level.
Group Tuition Fees are paid upfront before each stage.
If a student misses out on a lesson it is his/her responsibility to catch up with the
group.
If the student is finding difficulties and cannot catch up, it is then advisable to take a
private lesson (at the students own expense) plus attend the normal group class.
