Experience

As a VCAA VCE Mathematics assessor for the past 15 years and Head of Mathematics for more than twenty years, I have vast knowledge and understanding of the current Victorian VCE Mathematics study design for Mathematical Methods, Specialist Maths and General Maths. I offer students considerable experience which will assist their learning in Mathematics. My focus is the development of key fundamental skills to enable students to achieve their best results whether at Year 7 or Year 12.

I am a co-author of several Victorian Mathematical Methods Text Books of Units 1, 2, 3
and 4.

As well as extensive experience teaching VCE Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics, I have led Mathematical departments for several years.

I am able to assess and assist students in building a stronger foundation in Mathematics. My teaching approach is based on teaching for understanding which enables students to develop a wholistic understanding of the concepts as well as the mechanics of producing thorough solutions.

I tutor from my home in Vermont or online.
