Hi, my name is William Taylor. I am a graduate (and current graduate student) of UNSW and I am offering tutoring services in Highschool English (and other essay-based subjects), German, and Music. I have a great passion for these particular subjects, have received University-level awards and qualifications for each, and would love to share my know-how with you.
My main tutoring qualifications lie in my academic achievements at University: I graduated from UNSW with First-Class Honours and the University Medal in 2017 (2019) with a Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy/German Studies) and a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 90+. I was also the recipient of both the Douglas McCallum award for Best Performance in Philosophy (2015) and the Australian-German Chamber's Goethe Prize for Best Performance in German Studies (2016). Following my undergraduate, I was granted the Fred Katz scholarship (2018) to complete my Honours thesis in philosophy and have now obtained a research scholarship to complete my Masters by Research in Philosophy (2019), focusing on the role of reason (λόγος) in Epictetus' Stoic philosophy.
I am currently quite busy between students and research, but please do inquire if you'd like to try out my services and we'll see if we can make our schedules harmonise.
