Hi! My name's Yalda, and I'm a student living in Sydney. I have a strong passion for teaching others and helping them grow their potential. I'm offering private tutorials for medical school interviews, International Baccalaureate subjects (Chemistry, Biology, Psychology), Bachelor of Vision Science (QUT) subjects and online music lessons (piano and flute) for all ages.

1. MEDICAL SCHOOL INTERVIEW TUTORING

In preparing for my interviews, I consulted with a diverse range of people: current medical students, experienced doctors, and professionals with over 20 years of expertise in conducting job interviews. By combining their insights with my own adjustments, I’ve developed a program I believe is highly effective for medical interview preparation.

With two years of experience preparing for medical MMIs, I have designed a comprehensive 6-week program aimed at maximising your chances of success in your medical interviews. Here’s what the program includes:

Week 1-2: Self-Discovery & Response Tailoring (1h sessions)
Week 3-4: Common MMI Questions & Strategy (1h sessions)
Week 5-6: Mock Interviews & Targeted Feedback (1.5h sessions)
Post-Program Support (Optional)

This program is designed to not only prepare you for typical MMI questions but also to boost your confidence and interview skills, ensuring you’re ready for success.

Tutorial Rates:
1 hour sessions - $70
Full 6 week course - $400

2. IB CHEMISTRY/BIOLOGY/PSYCHOLOGY and BACHELOR OF VISION SCIENCE SUBJECTS

For tutoring in year 11/12 and Bachelor of Vision Science (QUT) subjects, I believe in dictating the lessons according to your learning style to ensure you take the most out of the sessions. Our first session is 30 minutes, and designed to learn more about you and your study techniques, as well as any areas of weakness that you feel you could work on.

1 hour sessions - $70

3. MUSIC LESSONS

With over 19 years of piano experience and 12 years of flute playing, I offer professional music lessons tailored to students of all ages. Since 2020, I’ve been teaching both online and in-person, working with children (ages 4-15) and adults alike. My goal is to help each student reach their full musical potential in a fun and supportive environment. Feel free to contact me so that we can organise a time for our first free consult session!

Qualifications

I am currently a student in the Doctor of Medicine program at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney. I have been playing the piano for nearly 20 years using the Suzuki method and the flute for 12 years. I also achieved an Honours grade in the AMEB Piano for Leisure Grade 8 exam.
