You can understand an entire Chemistry topic and still walk out of a SAC wondering what happened.
Maybe the questions looked different from the ones you practised. Maybe you knew what you wanted to say but couldn’t find the precise words. Or Maybe you finished feeling confident, only to lose marks on details you didn’t realise mattered.
All of these are mistakes I have made at some point and had to figure out solutions to the hard way
I’m Zahra, and I help VCE Chemistry and English students bridge the gap between understanding the content and knowing how to use it when it counts.
A big part of my approach is creating resources that prepare you for the assessments in front of you.
I pay close attention to the study design, the way concepts are assessed and, where available, the style of your school’s SACs. From there, I build targeted practice that helps you recognise what a question is really testing and respond with confidence.
Does any of this sound familiar?
You’ve revised the content, but an unfamiliar application question throws you off.
You can explain a concept out loud, yet struggle to put together an answer that earns full marks.
You’re completing practice SACs, but they don’t feel anything like the assessments your school gives you.
Or You’re already doing well and want to find the small mistakes standing between you and the score you’re aiming for.
Wherever you’re starting, we’ll work out what you need and build from there.
I don’t believe you should have to sift through endless generic questions and hope you’re practising the right things.
My goal is to target particular concepts, skills and common mistakes.
If you’re preparing for a SAC, we can work through questions designed around the content and style you’re likely to face.
One of the things I pride myself in is how closely my mock assessments reflect their school SACs and VCAA-style exams.
I use the information available about your assessment, alongside the study design and past examination questions, to create practice that targets relevant concepts and question styles. No one can promise the exact questions that will appear, but good preparation can make the skills they test feel familiar.
We’ll also look at how you work under time pressure, where you lose marks and what to do differently before the real assessment.
I want you to leave each session knowing not just what you got wrong, but why—and how to approach it next time.
Whether it's rebuilding foundations.
Or getting more challenging application questions or help polishing written responses.
We’ll identify your priorities together and work towards those
The aim is to make your study time more productive and your progress easier to see.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. You just need a clear place to begin.
Whether you’re working towards your next SAC, preparing for the exam or chasing a 40+, 45+ or RAW 50, I’ll help you develop the understanding, precision and confidence to work towards your goal.

Experience
Zahra helped me understand how to approach VCE questions instead of simply memorising content. She taught me how to identify key terms, interpret the question properly and structure my answers around the marking criteria. I feel much more confident tackling unfamiliar questions now.
— Lucia bekinschtein
Zahra’s teaching is extremely clear and focused on what actually earns marks. She explains common mistakes, uses examiner reports and shows exactly how small changes in wording can improve a response. My answers have become much more precise.
— Andy Bui
Before working with Zahra, I was studying for hours without a clear strategy. She introduced me to active recall, spaced repetition and targeted question practice. I now study more efficiently and retain much more of what I learn.
— Sophie Martin
Zahra has a great way of breaking down difficult concepts into simple steps. She focuses on understanding rather than memorising, which has made it much easier to reason through unfamiliar application questions.
— Noah Patel
What stood out most about Zahra was her attention to detail. She identified the exact reasons I was losing marks and showed me how to improve my responses. I now understand what VCAA is looking for and feel much more prepared.
— Isabella Chen
Zahra finally made electrochemistry click for me. I kept confusing oxidation and reduction, but her galvanic-cell diagrams and step-by-step explanations helped me understand what was happening at each electrode.
— Emily
I was memorising organic pathways without understanding them. Zahra showed me how to connect functional groups, reaction conditions and products, which made the Unit 3 Chemistry content much easier to apply.
—Ryan Chen
Zahra’s SAC preparation was really useful because we worked through questions that required calculations, explanations and correct chemical terminology—not just recall.
— Sophie Malik
The spectroscopy questions used to overwhelm me. Zahra taught me how to interpret infrared spectra and NMR information systematically instead of guessing from the peaks.
— Lucas Bennett
I understood the theory but kept losing marks in redox titration questions. Zahra helped me track units, significant figures, balanced equations and the final conclusion properly.
— Olivia Tran
Zahra pays attention to the wording VCAA uses. She helped me distinguish between identifying, explaining, justifying and evaluating, which made a noticeable difference in my written answers.
— Noah Williams
We spent time analysing my errors rather than just moving on after I got a question wrong. My recurring mistakes with equilibrium expressions and reaction conditions are much less common now.
— Amelia Singh
