My name is Sharon. I am a qualified, registered and currently practicing teacher and experienced tutor and educator. My small local sole-trader business is ‘Freedom Skate and School Coaching’, where I offer OVER 40 diverse educational services for all ages.
I am based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. I offer In-Person and Online lessons (local and international 24/7) and can come almost anywhere in greater Sydney.

I studied for 11 years and two tertiary education degrees with HD averages, as a high school teacher and have practical experience of teaching Kindergarten to Year 12 (as well as tutoring and proofreading for primary and secondary selective school entry exams, university, PHD, GTPA, preservice teachers, students and more). By 2026, I have taught in over 30 Sydney public DET, Catholic, Steiner and Independent Primary and Secondary Schools. My specialty subjects are English (First Teaching Subject & Major), Ancient History (First Teaching Subject & Major), Modern History (Second Teaching Subject & Minor), with a Major in Education. I am extremely experienced in teaching all ages, subjects and diverse needs and abilities.
I can be flexible and work with your needs. I have also worked with homeschooling families and offer my services as a premium private or small group educator for sports and academics.
I have indeed much varied experience of working with children (& all ages and types of people) over at least 20 years.
I have a bachelors and masters of teaching and my students have been among the very highest in the NSW state HSC in 2025. I guarantee improvement and am rated and reviewed five stars.
Being qualified in first aid, cpr, wwc and anaphylaxis training, as well as achieving the teachers national literacy testing standards (meaning I am above the top 30% of the population)
In Skateboarding:
I have over 20 years experience in Skateboarding, and of this at least 15 years in teaching students of all ages, from two to older adults: both male and female, beginners, professionals, x-games competitors and even future olympians. I was once sponsored and have won many competitions and prizes myself.
In English, History and Art:
I’ve received top marks in almost every school and university essay or exam I have done.
I have a lifelong love and achievement of these subjects, Being ranked first in my school in every subject and High-Achieving SC and HSC.
Long history of being an multi-medium artist and writing poetry and prose- I one day aim to publish. Receiving the gold award for the premier’s reading challenge. I have a prolific memory and love of Shakespearean works and intimate native knowledge of English language and literature including curriculum & syllabuses.
History is a lifelong passion and I specialise particularly in Ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt.
