My name is Mineko, and I am a native Japanese tutor with over 12 years of teaching experience in both Australia and Japan.
I hold a Graduate Diploma of Teaching (LOTE – Japanese) in Australia, a primary teaching degree from Japan, and additional professional Japanese teaching qualifications (NAFL and Alpha Language School).

I have taught Japanese in Australian schools, working with students of different levels and learning needs. I have also taught high school students, adults, and complete beginners of all ages. My lessons are warm, friendly, and individually designed to suit your goals—whether you want to improve school results, prepare for assessments, study for IB/ATAR Japanese, or simply enjoy learning the language.

I hold a Blue Card and provide a safe, encouraging learning environment for students of all ages.

Experience

I have over 12 years of experience teaching Japanese to Australian students, both in public schools and through one-on-one tutoring. Before moving to Australia, I also taught at a school in Japan for three years. I specialise in helping high school students build confidence, improve their grades, and strengthen their speaking skills.
