I am hoping to share my extensive academic and industrial experience with tertiary engineering students or those planning to join the STEM fields. My tutoring services are best suited for students needing help with university lectures common to programs such as Electrical Eng, Mechanical Eng, Mechatronics and IT. I believe my expertise would be particularly helpful to students preparing their final year projects and/or theses.

I hold a PhD on Medical Robotics and bachelor and master degrees in Mechatronics. I have been extensively awarded during my academic career including honorific mentions for results and theses as well as multiple scholarships. I am also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
I was recognized with the Vice-Chancellor Performance Award for Best Sessional Teaching Staff at QUT, after tutoring a total of 5 subjects (Engineering and IT) for about 3.5 years
I have held technical, research and mid-managerial positions in several industries (e.g. automotive and bio-compounds) and countries (e.g. Colombia, Germany, UK).
My areas of expertise include: robotics, computer vision, electronic and mechanical design, programming (Python, C, LabVIEW, Matlab) and scientific research.

I am available for tutoring Monday-Thursday in Brisbane north-side area after business hours. I would prefer to meet students at their university, a public library or their place (in that order). My preferred means of contact is email, but I will also respond to calls (alas with some delay during business hours).

Thanks to my more-than-10-years tutoring experience I can accommodate for different teaching approaches and methodologies. This would be agreed upon with the student based on his/her learning objectives, strengths and limitations. Students should expect part of the first session to be devoted to constructing a teaching plan tailored to their needs.

I have a long tutoring experience dating back to 2008 when I was completing my bachelor degree. I have remained engaged with teaching and tutoring activities throughout my professional career, including:
- Primary, secondary and tertiary students.
- Children at social risk (voluntary)
- Technicians and engineers.

I have worked and studied in Colombia, Germany and Australia. This has given me a wide exposure to different learning methodologies and cultural approaches to learning.

In Australia, I have tutored bachelor and master students in as many as 5 formal subjects (Engineering and IT) for about 3.5 years. I was awarded with the 2017 Vice-Chancellor Performance Awardee for Best Sessional Teaching Staff at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
