Hi my name is Carla and I am an experienced Musician who is looking for Beginner Piano students to take them through to Piano grade 2 (aged 5 and up).

I have experience teaching children and greatly enjoy the rewards that come from seeing a child learn and progress. I also have experience teaching beginner adults.

My lessons incorporate Music theory, basic Musicianship and Practice in a hands on, interactive way that promotes enjoyment of learning and practicing the Piano.

I will teach a student everything they need to know for a great musical foundation that will serve them well into the future.

Having extensive AMEB educational experience I could prepare a student for an exam if that becomes a goal they would like to achieve.

I am willing to operate lessons from my home or I can come to you.

I hold a current WWVP registration.

Experience

Teaching children in a classroom setting, teaching my own child Piano and theory. Teaching child and adult beginners - grade 1 piano, theory and basic musicianship.

Qualifications

AMEB Grades 4 and 5 Musicianship, AMEB Grades 4 and 5 Comprehensive Pianoforte practical examination (Credits), AMEB Grades 6 and 7 Piano for leisure (credits), AMEB Grade 8 Piano for leisure, AMEB Grades 1 (HD), Grade 2, Grade 3 Theory of music (Honours), Experienced Musician and Music Teacher.

Rates

$40 for 30 minutes, $50 for 45 minutes, $60 for 1 hour. Extra charges apply for travel to give lessons. The exact rate will be considered based on distance.
