Hi, I am Katherine,

I am currently studying Bachelor of Mathematics at the University of Queensland, specializing in Optimization and Operations Research with a minor of Computer Science. My current GPA average is 6.6 (where 6 is distinction and 7 is high distinction at UQ). I graduated from Mansfield State High School with a raw ATAR of 98.2 and Certificate of Academic Commendation from QCAA. I received the Academic Excellence Award in both 2022 and 2021; the Subject Award for Biology in 2022 and Physics in 2020.

I’m an experienced private mathematics tutor offering personalized support for high school students, especially those in Years 10–12. I am also tutoring 1st year Maths at the University of Queensland. I work with students of all confidence levels — from those aiming for top marks to those needing to rebuild their foundation.

I understand my students as I was in their shoes not long ago, I am enthusiastic and keen to not just teach my students, but to also be their friend who can give advices to help them develop interests in learning and find the best way for them to schedule their study. I want to make the most out of my students, I believe all students have the potential to improve as long as they are willing to push through what's hindering them.

I am bilingual, I am fluent and able to teach in English and Mandarin. Please feel free to get in touch by texting 0414243815, or
emailing xinwenrui@hotmail.com. I am more than happy to provide more information.
