I enjoy seeing another person getting confidence from knowing and understanding truth. I help students with computing subjects in such a way that they not only get the practical knowledge but also get the meaning.

I have been an Academic Tutor for about 4 years and I have also given private tutoring on computing subjects. I am able to listen attentively and patiently, and guide students through simple, gradual learning.

I can handle most of the first year computing subjects at the university level and some of the second year ones. My experience is especially with computational problem solving strategies, algorithms and data structures. I have also taught data management, relational database design and sql.

My preferred meeting place is Webex-Online. I am available Mon-Fri, between 9 and 5. You may contact me on ageorge333@outlook.com to book an appointment.

I only charge a fee of 25 dollar/hour. The initial session will be free.

Experience

I have been working as an Academic Tutor at the University of Wollongong for about 4 years. The subjects I have tutored include Problem Solving, Algorithms and Data Structures, and Data Management and Security. I have also given private tutoring to students.

I have experience of having programmed in more than 10 programming languages including c++, java and sql. I consider that I can help students with most of the first year computing subjects and some of the second year subjects.

My strength would be my ability to listen patiently and present the content meaningfully.

Qualifications

I completed Master of Computer Studies with Distinction from the University of Wollongong, NSW. Previously I have completed Bachelor of Computer Science from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India.

I have worked about 4 years as an Academic Tutor at the University of Wollongong. I also have some industrial experience working as a Graduate Trainee at Bluescope Steel, Port Kembla for more than an year.

Rates

$ 25 per hour for one student, $ 20 per hour if two students are together, $15 per hour if three students are together. Maximum 3 students in a session.
