Les believes that to master mathematics, you need to be able to understand the meaning behind the numbers. You need to understand why it is so, rather than just memorizing mathematical formulae. During his Maths tutoring, Science tutoring & Physics tutoring, Les combines theory with practical applications to the physical world like in consumer arithmetic, finance and Engineering.

Les is fully qualified with extensive experience in tutoring. He has worked not only in education but has background in Engineering and Business. He is able to combine both school studies with day to day applications, and aims to make mathematics interesting and meaningful.

To get the best results, Les’ preference is to private tutor 1 on 1 at his place in Ettalong Beach, or the student’s place of residence where the student is most at ease. Les can also provide online tutoring if the student lives remotely. Lessons are specifically tailored to assist with current studies at school, address any critical study gaps from the past and prepare the student for future studies.

Experience

Les commenced Maths tutoring, Science tutoring and Physics tutoring for High School and University students in 1973, when he first enrolled as a student at the University of NSW, Kensington.

Les offers private tutoring where he specialises in Mathematics, Science and Physics courses at all levels. Over the years, Les has helped hundreds of students through their secondary school years in their lead up to the Higher School Certificate. He has even helped under-graduates with their studies at Universities and Colleges, and at one stage was working as an assistant Lecturer at St George Technical College.

Qualifications

Les graduated with two degrees from the University of NSW (Kensington):
. Bachelor of Science (Maths and Physics)
. Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)

Rates

$70 per hour if lesson is at Les' place or online. Add $10-$25 for travel time if lesson at Student's place.
