I am fluent in Japanese having completed my Masters Degree in Japan and then having worked there for 4 years as an Investment Banker. I love tutoring as one-on-one teacher and student interactions, enable students to learn faster, master more material, remember their course work and truly love learning. One-on-one learning relationships empower students to take control over their studies, have the confidence to communicate what they need, and receive the personalised attention that will enable them to succeed. Lessons will be structured around individual student needs. I am familiar with all of the texts used in Queensland Schools and I have taught the new year 12 curriculum at 2 private schools so aware of what is required to do well. I also love teaching primary and am passionate about teaching of Japanese with AIM, ACTLAN and/or Japanese sign language. All levels of Japanese tutoring offered. I have also taught English in Japan and Australia and enjoy working with ESL students.

Experience

I am a qualified teacher with a current Teacher registration. I have been teaching Japanese, both primary and secondary in schools on the Sunshine Coast for the last 11 years. My major is Japanese but I have taught English as well. I love Japan and Japanese and have studied and worked in Japan for over 7 years. I am up to date with recent changes to the Japanese curriculum and have taught the new Year 12 Japanese curriculum at Caloundra City Private School and Immanuel Lutheran College. While I was living in Japan I also tutored English to Japanese people.
