My name is Marissa, and I am the owner of a tutoring centre located in Earlwood. Our team consists of qualified and experienced teachers who are passionate about helping students achieve their learning goals. We provide tailored support for primary and secondary students, with one tutor specialising in English and another specialising in Mathematics.

At our tutoring centre, we focus on targeted intervention to maximise student growth and confidence. We begin with assessments to identify each student's strengths, areas for improvement, and learning goals. From there, we develop personalised learning programs and work systematically through those goals. We can also provide assistance with school assessment planning, assignment support, and homework help when required.

Our aim is to help students build strong foundations, develop effective learning strategies, and achieve success in the classroom. Lessons are engaging, structured, and tailored to each student's individual needs, ensuring they receive the support necessary to make meaningful progress.

Experience

I began tutoring during remote learning and COVID in 2020-2021. I was tutoring in a group setting, as well as one on one tutoring for all subject areas and ranging from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Qualifications

I completed a Bachelor of Education (Primary) at Australian Catholic University in 2021 and have been working in the education industry for over 5 years as a full-time teacher, along with several years of experience as a casual teacher across a range of primary school settings.

Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students from Kindergarten to Year 6, and for the past 5 years have primarily taught students in Years 2 to 6 at a primary school in Sydney. In addition to classroom teaching, I have experience tutoring and supporting students in an Out of School Hours Care (OOSH) setting, where I assisted children with homework, literacy, numeracy, and general learning support.
