Hi there! Thanks for considering of hiring me as your tutor or for your child / ward. My tutoring goal is to help students improve and empower them in their academics. I have experience in tutoring primary and high-school students, predominantly in Mathematics (till Year 9) and some schoolwork help and test / exam preparation. Also, I'm an experienced ESL teacher. Furthermore, I have some experience in teaching Mandarin to non-Chinese students.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Medical Science (nutrition major) - CQUniversity

Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences - The University of Queensland

Certificate IV in TESOL - ITA in partnership with ACCD

Personal Trainer licence - American Council on Exercise

Blue Card (clearance to work with children) - Queensland Government

Rates

$20 per hour for Grades 1 & 2; $25 per hour for Grades 3 & 4; $30 per hour for Grades 5 & 6; $35 per hour for Grades 7 & 8; $40 per hour for proofreading tertiary papers; $50 per hour for tertiary subjects; additional charges for tutoring location beyond Toowong i.e. additional $5 for travelling within Translink's Zone 1 from Toowong (e.g. St Lucia, Taringa, Indooroopilly, CBD) and $10 for two Zones (from Toowong) etc.

$20 per hour for language learning (not for academic purposes), with charges ($5-$20) for learning materials (if you or your child/ward do not have any); additional charges for tutoring location beyond Toowong i.e. additional $5 for travelling within Translink's Zone 1 from Toowong (e.g. St Lucia, Taringa, Indooroopilly, CBD) and $10 for two Zones (from Toowong) etc.

Due to time constraints, I do not travel (by bus and/or train, as my usual mode of transport) to tutoring locations that take more than an hour (one-way) from Toowong.

NB. The previous rates remain unchanged for students who have started their tuitions with me before 2025.
