I am a qualified Flute teacher and I ran a busy Flute Studio in Sydney for 8 years. Since relocating to Melbourne, I have a thriving Flute Studio in Carlton North. Students range in age from 4 to 18 years.

Students have weekly individual lessons (30, 45 or 60 minutes depending on the level). Each lesson is tailored to the individual needs of the student in an encouraging environment. I believe that every child has the ability to learn and I strive to teach excellence each step of the way. I have trained with the best flute teachers in Australia, earning my Master of Music Performance in Flute. I teach students from absolute beginners to advanced.

Group classes are an integral part of my studio. In these classes students will learn to play in small flute ensembles, perform new and current pieces whilst gaining valuable performance experience. Group classes allow students to interact with their peers in a fun environment.

Leah is a highly trained classical flute player who loves teaching kids. She graduated with a Masters in Music Performance (honours) in 2011 from the Australian National University under the guidance of prominent Australian flautists Virginia Taylor and Vernon Hill. Leah was a major prize winner at The B’nai B’rith Youth Eisteddfod in 2004 and has performed extensively in solo and ensemble concerts in Melbourne and Canberra. She has completed her Advanced accreditation with the Suzuki Association of Australia.

Leah has experience teaching students of all levels and ages, from absolute beginners to advanced players. In 2001 she was a flute tutor at the French Woods Festival of the Arts in New York, USA during the 2001 summer camp season. Leah ran a busy and well established Flute Studio on Sydney’s lower north shore for 8 years. Leah relocated to Melbourne and now runs a busy Flute Studio from Carlton North.
