My name is Natalia. I am a high school Mathematics educator, passionate not only about helping students excel in Mathematics, but also in their development as an individual.

Currently teaching in a high school, I hold a bachelor's degree in Industrial and Applied Mathematics. I have expert knowledge and application of mathematics beyond high school mathematics.

I work with my students to assist them in achieving excellence. The mindset of a learner is key to success, and so I strive to instil knowledge and habits that promote the development of capable lifelong learners.

I begin by, with your collaboration, identifying your learning needs to customise a plan suited to seeing you realise your goals. The objective with all my students is to help them progress rapidly and improve their results consistently.

As well as supporting you to excel in mathematics, my approach also focuses on coaching and mentoring students in educational habits. I place a strong emphasis on building discipline, focus, determinedness, and self-confidence. These skills are applicable to achieve success across all subjects and areas of life and encourage an achievement-focused mindset.

I can help you to improve your time and stress management, study approach, goal setting and test/exam preparation skills.

I greatly value your trust and commitment to your learning and will work with you to ensure both students and parents are pleased with the outcomes.

I am available throughout the week and on weekends. I am confident a convenient day and time can be arranged.
Tutoring sessions can take place either online, in person at a public library, (location can be negotiated to accommodate appropriately for distance of both parties), or potentially at your place of residence depending on availability of a guardian for supervision and location.

Experience

I have experience as a tutor across different settings. I was employed as a tutor for the Aboriginal Teaching Program at the University of South Australia, where I worked with university students in the program to develop their skills and understanding in Mathematics, focusing on elementary skills up to Year 10 school equivalent mathematics. I have also been employed in schools to work one on one with students, tutoring across a range of subjects, including Mathematics, English, Community Studies and Research Project. I have also been a private Maths tutor for senior school Mathematics, including Stage 1 International Baccalaureate.

Qualifications

I am a qualified and practicing high school Mathematics teacher, with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Applied Mathematics and a Masters in Teaching (Secondary Education).

I hold a current Working with Children Check clearance, valid until 23/07/2025.

I regularly attend Professional Development workshops to ensure my knowledge of curriculum and teaching pedagogies are contemporary, engaging and relevant.
