Hi !!

Thank you for reading my profile :) I'm Roderick Nguyen, a classical pianist who's passionate about music and I've been playing piano for about nine years. I love to share my love for piano and I aim to make learning about music fun and engaging. I'm wanting to get a start in tutoring classical piano.

I specialise in mostly classical piano and am able to tutor beginner to intermediate players. People of all ages are welcome because it's never too late to start learning an instrument !!

My lessons run for an hour or 30 minutes and I would structure my lessons to suit your unique needs, ranging from exam preparation (I have experience with AMEB syllabus) to leisure playing depending on your goals. I aim to balance between your individual needs with my own personal teaching and guidance. You can expect my lessons to help push and encourage you to excel while enjoying the process and having fun !!

My preferred location to hold lessons is at my house, but I am also flexible and able to travel to your house or even do online lessons depending on your needs.

Experience

I've had limited experience doing piano tutoring (briefly at the start of 2023 for 2 months), but I am passionate about music in general and would love to get a real start in teaching and encouraging people to start learning the piano. I've been playing in my school's jazz ensemble for two years so I have experience playing in a band.

I am currently taking lessons with a professional pianist and accompanist who works at the Conservatorium High School.

I am currently working towards my AMus Diploma at AMEB.

Qualifications

I have studied classical piano for over nine years.

I received an A grade (Pass with Honours) for AMEB Grade 8 Piano in 2022.

I graduated from Sydney Boys High School in 2023.
