Karen was a senior English tutor at her previous work place. She is currently in her final semester of completing a Bachelor in Science majoring in Criminology and Psychology at the University of Sydney. Throughout primary school and high school Karen has taken all mainstream testing including but not limited to: OC, Selective, Scholarship and ICAS and achieved success with offers to Hornsby Girls and Distinctions. She has a great personal understanding of what students and their parents are facing both academically as well as emotionally.

As a result, she has taught and lead the production of the English portion of the OC and Selective courses at her previous place of employment. She created the Narrative and Persuasive [Foundation] courses to support students who wished to do competition classes in year 6. Karen has debated in high school meaning she is very well versed in persuasive writing, an area where a lot of students struggle. Recently she has led produced the Writing portion of the Scholarship course.

Karen started tutoring Years 2-12 from 2019 specialising with competition classes such as Selective and OC as well as 1-1 tutoring for ESL students. Majority of her past students graduated with a band 6 in English Advanced. Of those students, in Year 11 they were given an estimated mark between 70-80. Meaning there has been at least a 10% increase in their mark within less than 2 years. Due to her extensive teaching experience and content production Karen is scheduled to begin teaching at a tertiary level at the University of Sydney in 2024.
