Experience

I have been a Community Languages teacher for the past decade, teaching Greek School students from K-12. I grew up in Athens, Greece and have been living in Sydney, Australia for the past 12 years. My approach in teaching the Modern Greek language to students, is a holistic method that focuses on verbal communication, comprehension and writing skills. My experience in community languages, includes teaching students about the cultural, historical and religious nature of Greek Society, which I achieve through poetry, and written texts. I have independently worked with students to prepare for their Modern Greek HSC exams in years 11-12, and conducted Greek lessons in a classroom setting for primary school kids. My expertise allows me to work with children who have a basic or limited understanding in Modern Greek, working alongside parents to achieve their goals.
