Melbourne tutor in Chemistry, Maths Specialist

I believe the secret to success in VCE is a strong understanding of the concepts involved. I achieved a Raw 50 in Chemistry and Raw 49 in Specialist Maths (ATAR 99.85) in 2023 through the painstaking process of trying to understand everything to the smallest detail. However, although my results were indeed good, without the help of a tutor, I wasted a lot of time and effort focussing on non-exam relevant question types and concepts, believing initially that I had to know everything in the textbook (so overall my study was not the most efficient)
Having done numerous practice exams for both Spesh and Chem in the lead up to the exam, I am confident I can make your study as efficient as possible and help you focus on and fully understand the most important concepts to equip you to achieve exceptional results.

I am offering private lessons on zoom 1 on 1 (60/hr) or in groups of 2 (40/hr), or 3 (30/hr).

Weekly lessons will involve:
- Thorough explanations of the relevant concepts using the textbook + my personal notes / bound reference that I wrote up during the year.

- Walkthroughs of exam questions related to the learnt concepts.

- Live marking/feedback for practice sacs/exams during sac/exam prep season focussing on the importance of hitting all the points and key words (chem) or efficient working out / approaches (Spesh) on top of ensuring knowledge and skills are being correctly applied

Outside of weekly lessons, there’ll be 24/7 support and I’ll be a simple text away for any questions.

Spots are limited as I’ll be (hopefully) busy with med school this yr so I’ll be taking only a handful of students.
