I am a highly experienced SACE Stage 1 and 2 teacher, having tutored a range of high school students in both public and private schools in middle and senior school English, HASS, Modern History, and Research Project courses for the past decade. My level of knowledge and understanding when it comes to curriculum in these subject areas has resulted in exceptional academic achievement, evident in numerous students receiving SACE Merits in Year 12 and outstanding overall ATAR scores.

My approach to tutoring is extremely supportive and collegial, directly influenced by my ongoing role as a lead English teacher in a prestigious high school located within the Adelaide CBD. I not only have a wealth of teaching experience in the subjects I tutor, but also use my own resources and knowledge of the IB and SACE curriculum pathways (serving as both an accessor and moderator of the Stage 2 English and English Literary Studies courses).

I am more than happy to offer tutoring on either an in-person or online basis across most weekday afternoons (or on the weekends), as students in the past have appreciated this level of flexibility when it comes to receiving support in their subjects that also aligns with their busy schedules.

Qualifications

Vast expertise with the Australian Curriculum and both IB and SACE pathways across English, Humanities, History, and Research Project subject areas, having served as a SACE assessor and moderator for Stage 2 English and English Literary Studies since 2017.

I have also worked as an English, Literacy, and EAL Innovation Leader, responsible for educational outcomes in a high performing academic school consisting of approximately 2, 000 students, as well as annually presenting at state and national conferences.

From 2010-17, I was employed as an Associate Lecturer and Tutor in English and Creative Writing at Flinders University, where I taught Foundation, First-Year, and Upper-Level topics. In 2013, I was the recipient of the 'Outstanding Contribution to Teaching' award, which resulted from receiving exceptional student feedback reports.

I am also currently in the midst of completing the 'Highly Accomplished Teacher' certificate (administered by the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership), which is a national accreditation designed to recognise leading educators across Australia.
