Hello, I am an experienced Senior Lecturer and undergraduate Course Coordinator with PhD in psychology. I offer online private tutoring to psychology students to cement what they have learned in their studies or wanting to take their studies to the next level.
Since 2011 (my PhD), I have taught in different universities and right across the psychology curriculum, but my specialities are:
• Research methods and statistics (introductory, advanced, Honours, and beyond)
• Statistical analyses using SPSS and PROCESS for SPSS
• Psychological assessment (i.e., scale development and psychometrics)
During my academic career, I have received positive feedback from students who enjoyed my clear and organised teaching material, and who appreciated my enthusiasm for teaching such ‘heavy’ subjects, engaging them and turning their pre-existing fears of statistics into enjoyment. Yes, research and statistics can be interesting and can be fun (my motto).
I am a true advocate of deep learning, and this is especially relevant for research methods and statistics. My typical sessions start by reviewing the essentials of each covered concept presented in lay language (the WHAT) with a specific focus on explaining the WHY and the HOW, supported by real-life research examples and guided practice. The advantage of online tutoring is that sessions can be recorded for later review and practice, so there is a space to consolidate learning.
I am also a keen and published quantitative researcher and enjoy mentoring students on their research thesis journey to become competent researchers and scientific writers. Thus, I can assist with developing skills in preparation of lab reports, research proposals, and research theses.
Please contact me to organise a tailored online session. This can be a one-off session on a specific topic or ongoing sessions to complement your university studies. The sessions can be one-on-one or can be a small group of your university peers (contact me for a group discount).

Experience
I am an experienced, passionate psychology educator with loads of positive feedback from my past and current psychology students about my talent to explain complex topics in easy to understand terms, and my notorious enthusiasm for teaching and supporting my students. With me as their tutor, students know that they are getting their money's worth.
I started tutoring in 2011 while completing my PhD, and, over the years, have build my special expertise in teaching research methods and statistics (year 1 - Honours), psychological assessment (i.e., scale development and psychometrics), and honours thesis support units. I am an experienced quantitative researcher and a research supervisor (Honours and PhD) and especially enjoy mentoring my students to write well, and to become competent researchers and phobia-free, statistics-loving human beings.
Qualifications
I have First Class Honours and PhD in Psychology from a top research-focused university in Australia. I have received multiple awards and medals both for academic and research excellence during my academic career. I regularly publish my research in Q1 international peer-reviewed scientific journals. I hold an academic title of Senior Lecturer and have experience coordinating psychology and counselling undergraduate programs.
