I’m a qualified VCE English teacher, Drama and VCE Theatre Studies teacher with 15 years experience. I’ve tutored students from primary age to tertiary and thoroughly enjoy helping others succeed.

My sessions are personalised and tailored to meet your specific needs.

For example a VCE English tutorial session might include:

- deepening your understanding of authorial intention
- exploring the world of the text
- importance of context (textual and authorial)
- embedding subject metalanguage - effective integration of quotes
- essay structure
- paragraph breakdown
- close analysis of text
- awareness of subtext
- unpacking the prompt
- thematic discussion
- character analysis
- exam preparation strategies - discussion around teacher feedback
or anything else that you wish to improve.

How does it work?

The learner emails through a sample of their work, eg. essay draft (at least 48 hours before our session) with some specific areas that they wish to work on. I will examine the writing and identify potential areas for improvement.

Further to this, each session will be carefully planned and prepared according to the specific learning needs.

After the session, comprehensive feedback will be shared via email to summarise our learning and to set goals/ potential activities for you to focus on during the week.

Essay draft editing requiring detailed feedback can be emailed during the week.
