Hi, My name is Yebin Kim. ? I was born and lived in South Korea for 27 years. With experience as an instructor teaching Korean language and literature to middle and high school students in Korea, I have a strong understanding of Korean grammar. I also have 6 years of experience as an English instructor at an English academy, which has allowed me to effectively teach many students in a simple and enjoyable manner. I will help you understand the origins and principles of words and grammar, rather than just memorizing them.

I have a good understanding of the challenges English speakers face when learning Korean. After traveling alone to Australia last year and falling in love with the country, I am now in Australia on a working holiday. Since you are interested in learning Korean, I will make sure to introduce you to Korean culture in an engaging way. I am also passionate about K-pop, K-dramas, and K-variety shows, which will make our lessons fun, and we can become good friends. I look forward to meeting you!

Experience

In 2017 and 2018, I participated in overseas volunteer programs in Laos for two consecutive years, where I taught Hangul and Korean in English. Since 2019, I have taught Korean to foreign exchange students I met through university soccer clubs and major-related classes. In 2020, I used the HelloTalk application to make friends from other countries and teach them Korean. In 2024, I have been involved in leading 1:1 to 4:1 Korean and English conversations at language exchange meetings through the Meetup application.
