Northern Victoria tutor in English, Reading

I am an experienced classroom teacher, governess and tutor with a diverse teaching background. My experience encompasses a range of educational levels, from Preschool to Year 9. In recent years, I have focused my professional learning and development on enhancing my skills in teaching reading, reflecting my growing expertise in this vital area of education.

I provide tutoring in reading aligned with the science of reading. The process is structured, sequential and incorporates low variance tasks. Programs used include UFLI Foundations, Spelling Mastery, Spelling Through Morphographs and Rewards.

Tutoring is provided online, with the focus being primary students. Times are available Monday - Saturday. Lessons are available up to 1 hour in duration, however preference would be to split a one-hour weekly session across 2 30-minute sessions or 3 20-minute sessions to better accommodate the student's attention span and to allow for consistent practise of the skills taught.

I have three years tutoring experience, working with students from Foundation to Year 8. I am also a qualified teacher of over 15 years.

Qualifications

I hold a Bachelor of Teaching and a Bachelor of Educational Studies. In addition, I am trained in:
