I also have extensive experience tutoring undergraduate students in biomedical science disciplines. This gives me a strong understanding of the challenges students can face when studying subjects such as biochemistry and physiology.

I have also participated in the CSIRO STEM Professionals in Schools program, where I helped stimulate students' interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics and STEM-related careers.

Are you looking for a knowledgeable and experienced science tutor who can help you understand difficult concepts, build confidence and improve academic performance?

I am a PhD-qualified science tutor with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and extensive experience tutoring undergraduate students in biomedical science subjects, particularly Biochemistry, Physiology and Pharmacology.
I provide personalised one-on-one online tutoring tailored to each student's needs, whether they are struggling with a particular topic, preparing for assessments, or looking to strengthen their overall understanding.

My Approach
Every student has different strengths, weaknesses and learning goals. My lessons are therefore tailored to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

A typical lesson involves:
• Setting a clear learning goal for the session
• Identifying areas of difficulty and misconceptions
• Explaining complex scientific concepts in a clear and accessible way
• Working through examples and targeted practice questions
• Developing effective study and problem-solving strategies
• Reviewing progress and identifying areas for further improvement

My goal is not simply to help students memorise information. I aim to help them understand the underlying concepts, become more confident in their abilities and develop the skills to approach questions independently.

• Bachelor of Biomedical Science, University of Auckland, 2001.
