Hi! I’m Laurie — an experienced tutor and current medical student, here to help you excel in the IB and beyond.

Having completed the IB Diploma with a score of 43/45, I understand exactly what students need to succeed. I teach practical strategies, exam techniques, and essay-writing methods that helped me achieve high 7s in my subjects. My approach focuses on clear, replicable steps that make even the most challenging topics feel manageable.

I provide an extensive range of resources, including past papers, question banks, revision notes, and model responses. Having analysed 10+ years of past exams and mark schemes, I can show you precisely how examiners think, what they reward, and how to structure your answers to consistently hit all rubric points.

Lessons are conducted online through platforms such as Zoom, and I also offer 24/7 text support for quick questions or urgent help between sessions. My aim is to support you throughout your journey and help you approach the IB with confidence, clarity, and strong technique.

I am an eager and driven medical student committed to advancing public health, with a particular interest in dermatology. As an international student from China, I am fluent in both English and Mandarin and highly motivated to embrace continuous learning and new opportunities within the medical field.

With over 1, 000 hours of tutoring experience, I specialise in teaching Chemistry, Chinese, Economics, and English to students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds through one-on-one and small group online sessions.
