Guitar Tutor/Coach For Adult Beginners and Returning Musicians Seeking
Melbourne tutor in Bass Guitar, Drums, Guitar, Keyboard, Music Technology, Music Theory, Musicianship
My teaching style is supportive, structured and practical — perfect for adult beginners and returning musicians who want to build confidence, fundamentals and real musical momentum. I teach through modern blues and rock styles, focusing on feel, timing, chord flow, rhythm, and simple improvisation techniques that make playing enjoyable from day one.
I use a combination of:
• Demonstration and guided practice
• Play-along exercises tailored to your level
• The “Melody–Rhythm–Harmony” framework (a simple method I’ve developed to help adults learn faster)
• Real songs you actually want to play, not dry textbook material
• Tone, groove and expression coaching so your playing feels and sounds better
Lessons typically run 45–60 minutes, with optional weekly or fortnightly sessions depending on your goals and schedule.
I’m a professional guitarist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with over 25 years of experience in blues, rock, recording and live performance. I also run my own small studio and create behind-the-scenes music content, so I bring both practical and creative insight to each lesson.
My lessons are ideal for:
• Adult beginners starting guitar for the first time
• Adults returning to guitar after a long break
• Intermediate players wanting to improve rhythm, phrasing, feel or soloing
• Anyone who wants to learn blues, classic rock, modern rock, or expressive, emotional playing
I teach at a relaxed pace, with clear explanations, and always adapt the lesson to your learning style and musical interests. My goal is simple: help you enjoy playing guitar, grow your confidence, and make real progress every week.

Experience
I’m a Melbourne-based guitarist, songwriter and musician with over 25 years of experience in blues, classic rock and modern rock. I grew up surrounded by music, my father and grandfather were both guitarists and that early influence shaped the way I play and teach today: expressive, emotional, and focused on feel over complexity.
After years of recording, performing and running productions in the studio, I’ve developed a teaching style that connects especially well with adult beginners and people returning to music after a long break. I understand what it’s like to start fresh, juggle life commitments, and want to enjoy music without pressure.
My goal is to make learning guitar feel achievable, inspiring and genuinely enjoyable.
I specialize in:
• Blues & rock rhythm and lead
• Timing, groove and phrasing
• Improvisation made simple
• Building confidence in adult learners
• Helping returning players rebuild technique and passion
. Understand the theory, arrangements, & music appreciation
Alongside my guitar work, I also create music for release, produce in my own studio, and collaborate on cross-genre projects. This real-world experience means I teach in a way that’s practical, musical, and tailored to your goals. Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time, getting back into it after years away, or wanting to refine your sound, I’d love to help you reconnect with music and enjoy the process.
